Analyzing a Notes.rip file

Where can I find step-by-step instructions for analyzing a Notes.rip file? The process of annotating also needs to be explained there. Reading rips is almost like an art form. Once you learn how, problems seem to jump out at you. Learning how to read them is another problem altogether. I usually just point people to the Knowledgebase on this. If you go to the Knowledgebase and search on ?annotator,? you will get over 60 hits. The second one listed for me is a technote listing what the annotator is and how it works. It is technote 166414.
