Q

Application works in Win98 and Office 97 but not in WinXP and Office XP

This Content Component encountered an error

Hello, I have an application in the Notes client v.5 that calls to the window of Windows "Save As" by means of a Windows DLL. The problem is that for Windows XP and Office XP it doesn't work, but it works fine for Windows 98 and Office 97.

I don't understand very well what the function does, since it passes integer parameters to it. Any code or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This seems to be a question about the Windows operating system rather than about Notes; I would refer you to the Windows operating system function descriptions in MSDN for a full description and examples.

If you just want to open a file picker dialog in Notes and get back the selected filename, you might look at @Prompt([LOCALBROWSE]...). To use this in LotusScript, you'd have to do something fancy. For instance, write an action in macro language such as:

t := @Prompt([LocalBrowse]; "windowtitle"; "C:");
@If(t = ""; @Return(""); "");
ENVIRONMENT Param1 := t;
@Command([ToolsRunMacro]; "your LotusScript agent")
This is not quite the same thing as the "save as" dialog, but it works on all operating systems.
