I am a 39 year old Notes developer (CLP) in the Mid-Atlantic region with several years Notes
development experience. I will take a Notes administrator test this week. Currently, Notes is my
most marketable skill. I am seeking to broaden my technical skill set with JAVA. Do you foresee
Notes development continuing to be a marketable skill? What areas would you recommend to broaden to
complement the Notes skill set?
Notes will continue to be a very viable career. I would recommend becoming very strong with Java
Script and add either JAVA or XML/XSL to your skills. These technologies work nicely with Notes and
my cutting edge clients are asking for these skills in their new hires. Additionally, in the
Mid-Atlantic, many of the developers I talk with are using Dream Weaver. It seems to be
popular.
