Create my own menus in Notes
I am new to Notes but used to do development in VB and VC++. When using VB and VC++, I could
create my own menus. Is something of that pattern possible in Notes? For example, as soon as the
user opens a particular Database, Default Notes Menu comes in plus my menu will also be added to
the list.

cannot do this in Notes. Lotus has intentionally restricted access to certain parts of the
application environment to ensure congruency in applications. You can put application-specific
functions in cascading menus called an "Action Bar." These are customizable and can cascade to
perform a large number of built-in functions plus they can contain macros, LotusScript (VB),
JavaScript. I think you will find that they give you the customizability that you need without
intruding on the common interface that is important to make Lotus' applications easy to use.
