I tried attaching a Canon zr80 digital video camera for Sametime 6.5.1 video conferencing. However, the camera doesn't work. It works with MSN messenger though. I am wondering if there is any digital video camera that works with Sametime.
Check the drivers for your video camera. When it is connected, check that the camera appears in your device list as an "Imaging Device." I had similar problems with my Sharp and Sony cameras until Windows XP identified them as imaging devices, which I was then able to fix by getting drivers off the manufacturers Web site.
I personally use Sony, Sharp and Dolphin brands digital cameras successfully through Sametime. In addition, I have set up numerous other brands of webcams for clients.
