Errors in the log file after Notes Domino 6.5.1 with IF1 patch install

My Sametime server never seems to run correctly. This is a fresh install of Notes Domino 6.5.1 with the IF1 patch installed on a Windows 2000 Professional machine. I have the Sametime security set to use the Domino directory but end up with errors in the log file.

Can you point me in the right direction to resolve this issue? I'm testing this scenario first before I roll it out into production, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The errors showing in your console dump would all appear to stem from the Internet security settings -- specifically the line: "SSO is invalid." This normally has to do with your SSO Web configuration and Internet sites (or R5 Web site) documents.

The full procedure for configuring Internet sites, multi-server session authentication on a Sametime (LIM) box is below:

  1. In the Domino Administrator Client, choose Configuration -> Web Section -> Internet Sites.

  2. From the Action bar, choose Add Internet Site -> Web.

  3. On the Basics tab, enter the following information:

Descriptive Name: "Your Organization" Web site
    Organization: "YourOrg"
    Use this Web site: Yes
Host Names: Not required for default site
    Domino Servers: *

  4. On the Configuration tab, enter the following information:

    Home URL:/stcenter.nsf?open
    DSAPI filters: ndolextn
    WebDav: Enabled
Leave all other settings as default

Save and close the Web site document.

  5. From the Action bar, choose Create Web SSO Configuration.

  6. On the Basics tab, enter the following information:

Configuration Name: LtpaToken (leave as default)
    Organization: "YourOrg"
Domino Servers: Individually add all of the registered servers
    Expiration: 60
    Idle Session: Enabled
    Minimum Timeout: 30

    Save the document (Ctrl+S).

  7. From the Action bar, choose Keys -> Create Domino SSO.

Notification dialog that the keys were successfully created.

    Click OK.

  8. Save and close the Web SSO Configuration.

  9. Edit the Web site document for "YourOrg" Web site.

On the Domino Web Engine tab, enter the following information:

    Session Authentication: Multiple Servers (SSO)
Web SSO Config: LtpaToken (Choose from Dialog list)

    Save the document (Ctrl+S).

  10. From the Action bar, choose Web site -> Create Authentication.

On the Basics tab, enter the following information:

DescriptionWorldwide Corps Realm Directory or Path: / Realm Label: "dns extension for your domain, e.g., world.com"

From the Action bar, choose Save & Close.

  11. Save and close the Web site document.

  12. From the Action bar, choose Create Global Web Settings.

On the Basics tab, enter the following information:

Descriptive Name: "Your Org" Domino Servers: *

From the Action bar, choose Save & Close the Global Web Settings document.

  13. From the Action bar, choose Add Internet Site À SMTP Inbound.

  14. Enter the following information on the Basics tab:

    Descriptive Name: Worldwide Corp SMTP
    Organization: "YourOrg"
    Host Names: HostName
    HOSTNAME.DNS
    Domino Servers: *

From the Action bar, choose Save & Close.

Note: At this point you may also wish to create a corresponding POP3 and IMAP site with the same settings (except descriptive name) as in step 14.

  15. In the Domino Administrator Client choose Configuration -> Server Section -> All Server Documents.

  16. Edit the Server Document for your server.

On the Basics tab, enter the following:

Load Internet Configurations from serverInternet Sites documents:
    ENABLED

From the Action bar, choose Save & Close.

  17. Restart the Web server to initialize it with the new Web configuration documents.
