This is controlled in the R5 configuration documents. Under Router/SMTP then Advanced then Controls, you will find a field called Cluster failover. Set it to "Enabled for all transfers in this domain."

My question is how can you get Notes mail to failover using an MX record in DNS after creating the same mail-in database on Domino server 1 & 2 without the message sitting in pending mode on server 2 when server 1 is unavailable? The MX record works but Domino server 2 holds it in its mailbox as pending waiting for Domino server 1 to become available again. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me.
