Getting 'file linked to missing export scroll bar' error from Notes 6 client on Win95

Have a workstation running Windows 95, and I installed Lotus Notes 6 client. The installation goes through just fine, but then I get errors when I try to open the client for the first time. The error says: "Nnotesws.dll file is linked to missing export comctl32.dll:flatsb_show scroll bar." How can I fix this problem?
I found this cryptic note in the official release notes for ND6:
Windows 95 requires 2nd edition installer minimum; only the Notes client is available for Windows 95.
I'm not sure if they are referring to the second edition installer for Win95 or for Notes, but I am passing this along in case it is helpful. In general though, I suggest upgrading your client operating system. Win95 is so old that I am not surprised there are problems.
