The only way I know how to do this is to hide the location bar. It's based on my research on the Microsoft Developer Network (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/dhtml/reference/dhtml_reference_entry.asp ) and in my personal testing I've learned that the feature is not implemented in Internet Explorer for the current window.

In Netscape/Mozilla, using JavaScript 1.2 you can use the following code to disable the location bar in an existing window:

window.locationbar.visible=true; As you most likely know, you can do this in most any browser when opening a new window in JavaScript as shown below:

window.open('http://www.libertastechnologies.com?, '', 'toolbar=no');
