Q

How can I automatically delete transaction logs after incremental backups run?

I turned on transactional logging to reduce the size of incremental backups and then just to do a full backup on the weekend. I am using Veritas Backup Exec v8.6 with Domino agent and running Domino 6.02CF1. Is there a way to automatically delete the transaction logs after the incremental backups run? Also any other information you could provide about transactional logging would be beneficial.
If your transactional logs are being backed up properly, BackupExec will flag them as recyclable and then they will get reused. At the next server restart, Domino will actually remove unnecessary extents. For more information and some ideas to help this problem, please see Prevent your transactional log disk from running out of space, another tip I wrote.
