Q

How can a Domino server index an IIS Web server?

Domain Search does not index file systems (IIS Web server, for example). We are trying to configure our R5 Domino server for Domain Search. It appears to correctly index Notes databases, but we can't get it to index our IIS Web server. We have created a URL "mapping/redirection" document in the directory, which works correctly. The keyword associated with that URL document has been entered in the domain catalog "file systems" document, along with the URL of the Web page. I would welcome any help you can provide.
To index non-Domino files, you must have a drive mapping to those files (if they are not on the Domain Search server) on the Domain Search server so that they appear as local files to the server. This will let Domain Search index HTML files and the like. You need to tell the Domain Search the drive path via the "Add Drive System" button.
