How can we make our intranet page display upon starting ND6?

Hi. We are upgrading approx 10,000 users from Notes 5.06a to Notes 6.0.2. We have an intranet database made for Notes clients that displays directly when the end users open Notes. Today in R5, we have modified the Bookmark database to solve this. We hoped this could be done in ND6 in an easier way. However, our tests so far will not open and display the intranet database automatically (it shows up as a window tab that end users have to click on).

We want the solution to work without participation from end users (i.e., they should not have to select "Set bookmark as homepage," click on tabs or anything similar). The best solution is if the intranet start page shows up directly after starting Notes 6 and then it is possible to go (back) to the Notes standard welcome page by clicking a window tab or something similar.

We would be very grateful for any suggestions how to solve this in ND6. I hope there are other organizations that have their own intranet databases with similar demands.
Have you looked into Settings and Policies? A desktop setting enacted through a policy would do exactly what you want. You would simply put your Intranet database in the "Corporate Welcome Pages Database" field under basics for a desktop setting.
