Q

JavaScript error encountered when opening Lotus Notes email

Learn why you may be encountering a JavaScript error messages when opening HTML-formatted email messages in Lotus Notes.

Upon opening an email in my Lotus Notes account, I receive this JavaScript error message, "JavaScript error was encountered while loading a page. Error on line 674: ReferenceError: NOF_Menu is not defined." Do you know why I'm receiving this message?

This is typical behavior of Lotus Notes prior to version 8 (and even some in 8) for HTML-formatted email messages. Lotus Notes has never rendered email with tags and code in it well. I'm assuming your email messages are being stored in the sender's format (not Notes rich-text), so there is not much you can usually do here.
