Location document interfering with client access?
When I use the command Show schedule at my admin control panel, a server task of Office WksRep displays along with other scheduled notes events.
I read a tech note (160516) from Ibm.com/support, which states this will occur if a location document appears in the Public Name & Address Book. The tech note also claims that removing the Office location document from the address book will prevent the WksRep task from being scheduled. If I remove the Office Location document from the Public Address book, will this have an adverse effect on clients that use their datbases on the server, since the location of Office appears in the lower right hand corner of all notes users' workspaces? Clicking in this area reveals: office, home, Internet, island, travel, edit current.
That location document has nothing to do with clients or their access. It appeared because someone launched the client on the server at some point. Go ahead and delete it.
