You threw me a curveball with the comparison bit. I found lists galore, but very few comparisons. I did, however, recover. There's a white paper on SearchDomino.com called Implementing your Help Desk, but that may be more developer-oriented than you want. It sounds like maybe you're ready to buy one instead.

I found a very helpful site in HelpDesks.com and even came up with a little chart for you.

Here's a list of a few more, although not a comparison in the strictest sense.
