I have just installed Domino Mail Server version 5.0.8 installed on a Linux Redhat 7.1 server.
We currently use MS Mail and Outlook to send "internal" e-mail and retrieve "internet" email from our ISP POP3 e-mail accounts (two seperate processes). I would like to do away with this situation and handle everything through Domino server/Notes client--but I do not want the clients checking individual POP3 accounts at the ISP--I want them checking the Domino server.
How can I set up the Mail server to retrieve the POP3 e-mail from the ISP so I can scan everything for viruses and manage it via Domino?
We have an aDSL connection and no static IP address. My Domino mail server will not be visible to the public-so I need some way to move the e-mail message at the ISP to the Domino Mail server.
Thanks a ton!
You cannot do this from the server. This is a client function. POP mail is inherently a client activity. Your server would have no idea where to drop the messages, even if you could retrieve them.
