Need to build screen in Notes to display training calendar

I am rather new to Lotus Notes Domino, and have no idea how to solve this problem. I have a document called "training." This document creates the training programs available and the days on which they are available.

I need to build a screen which will display a calendar. When the calendar is clicked on, it needs to show all the training programs on that day and then accept the user's information to register. A user might want to enroll in multiple training programs.

I have worked up an alternative drop-down that displays the calendar and, upon selection of the date, we build a dynamic view. On selection of the records from this, we are able to save them into a folder. But now the other fields that I accept are getting saved into another document and we are not able to build a relationship. Typically this is a case of parent-child or of a Master--> detail relationship. How do I build such a screen in Lotus Notes?

If your training documents have a multivalued field, valued with all the days the training is scheduled to happen, you can create a calendar view using the scheduled date field to show the items by day. You can then create a registration agent that works on selected documents.

To see the calendar part working, create a repeating appointment in your Notes calendar and then examine the field StartDateTime and how the Calendar view works.
