As with all exam preparation, I would suggest visiting the Lotus web-site and downloading the exam guide at:
http://www.lotus.com/certification
For anyone starting out in designing domino applications, I would recommend starting with the IBM RedBook, Lotus Domino Release 5, A developers handbook, which can be found at the following URL:
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/pubs/pdfs/redbooks/sg245331.pdf
It contains good examples and demonstrations on how to implement R5 design elements and extend and optimise them for the Internet.
I would also recommend the LAEC Course, Domino Designer Fundamentals, which is a good starting point to become grounded in domino application design and will help you understand how the different elements of a domino application coexist. Visit the Lotus web-site to find an education centre in your region

A good reference site which will help in becoming aware of the competencies covered within the exams, in addition to providing some sample questions is CramSession, which can be found at:
http://www.cramsession.com
And don't forget that Self Test Software have sample exams available for download (fee's apply) to help you practice the exams and prepare for certification:
