When using Notes 6.5 for Instant Messaging, rather than Sametime connect, I miss the broadcast possibility. How do I give that function back to my users?
The Lotus Notes client with Instant Messaging built in only supports a limited subset of the functionality available from the full Sametime client. At this time, IBM only provides the full functionality of Sametime (i.e., broadcast and meetings) with the Sametime client installed and the appropriate (Sametime) license available.
However, if you have a full Sametime client installed on your PC and a Sametime CAL, you can still send "Announcements" through the Sametime client even if the audience only has Lotus Instant Messaging available through Notes.
