I read that Notes R5 uses S/MIME v2 which is not an IETF standard and Quite likely will not become one. I also read it uses weak cryptography (RC2/40). Are there any plans for Notes to use S/MIME v3? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
I am not sure of the strength of the cryptography in R5's implementation of S/MIME, but S/MIME V3 is coming in R6.
