Server hangs on Create Web admin after upgrade to 6.0.3

I upgraded a server from 5.0.8 to Domino 6.0.3. The install went well, and I took all the steps as outlined in the guideline Redbook. When restarting the server, though, it hangs on Create Web Administrator. We then removed the HTTP task from the INI file. It then hangs just after agent manager is started. And there is stays.

Things to mention:

  • DB2 on the server
  • Compaq server
  • 256 RAM
  • Disk space left 1.9 gigs
  • Anti-virus SAV
  • Runtme on C: data directory on E: drive
What can be the problem? Some are saying the RAM, others are saying the anti-virus must be stopped when doing this.
I can't give you a specific answer based on this information, but your RAM is far too low. I would not run a small server with less than 512 MB. I doubt the anti-virus software is the culprit.
