Upgrading to ND6

Notes R6 looks like it goes a long way to help appease the people who swear by Outlook's user interface. When I upgrade Notes R5 to R6 (still on a Domino R5 server), the address book template changes to R6 but the mail template stays R5. If I upgrade the mail template to R6 then replicate to the R5 server, will I mess up my database? I would like to give people the R6 client before the server upgrades to R6 (which may be a while). Can I do this without adverse affects on the server? I'm hoping that I can do this and just miss out on a few new functions until the server upgrades.
You shouldn?t have any major issues with using Notes 6 clients on a R5 server. I do this everyday. I have a 6 mail file on a 5.0.10 server, and it is fine, as long as the ODS stays at 40 (R5), not 43 (Notes 6).
