User not authorized to open his own e-mail

We have a user who has an e-mail access problem in his own e-mail database. When he tries to read an e-mail, the user gets this message: "You are not authorized to access this database by this way because its local access is protected."

The user has manager access on his database. I give manager access on the mail database from where the message causes the problem. It does''t fix the problem. I tried to fix up the database, cut and pasted the document, tried to access it via the server ID and it's still the same. I know that our principal administrator had removed the shared mail. Could the error have come from that? Do you have an ideas to solve this problem?

It sounds like the database has local encryption turned on, and that the encryption was done with a different ID file. Select the database then go to File --> Database --> Properties --> Encryption Settings. You have to open the database with the same ID file that was used to encrypt it.
