Q

What to do when an R4 system archive exceeds 1 GB

What recourse is possible when an R4 system archive exceeds 1 GB, when a fixup and updall have no affect? If I could open the file somehow, I could run an agent to pull documents into a New and Larger archive.
You should use Compact. Compact ?m is the switch to exceed 1 GB. It lets it run to 4 GB.
