Why is Notes naming someone else in a new memo?

QUESTION POSED ON: 09 June 2003
We are currently using Lotus Notes 5.0.8. A few of our users are experiencing a problem whereby whenever they click New Memo it will say another person's name and sent by the person who clicks New Memo.

For example:
John Brown
sent by: Susie Smith

I think I have seen this before. Check the current location document to make sure it is set up correctly. It might contain a bad Internet address or point to the wrong mail file.

If you access the Tools menu from either Calendar or Inbox, on the Mail--Basics tab, under the category "This mail file belongs to," the owner of the mail file is probably listed incorrectly. Use the drop-down menu to select the proper owner from whichever address book is appropriate.
