There are three things that I always recommend for any of my clients to do before pursuing professional certification:
- Understand the process.
- Study.
- Get some experience.
Step 1: Understand the process
In your case, I would recommend downloading the certification guide for the Lotus extended products (Collaborative Solutions) that can be found at the following URL:
http://www.lotus.com/services/education.nsf/0/392b75eff0379b608525656100598e41/$FILE/NEWCSGUIDE.pdf
This will tell you what the exams are, the order in that they should be taken and the competencies involved.
Step 2: Study
Your question specifically relates to this aspect, but I cannot stress how important it is for you to be comfortable with step 1 FIRST, so that you are aware of the competencies that you will be required to demonstrate through the examination process.
I recommend the available Redbooks from IBM; one of the guides that I still point many clients to is the deployment guide, which can be found at the following URL:
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg246206.html?Open
This is still for Version 2 and is yet to be updated. A slightly different document (in draft) of the latest version can be found at:
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/abstracts/sg246357.html?Open
Step 3: Get some experience
Nothing can prepare you for an exam like experience can!
I hope this helps.
