QUESTION POSED ON: 05 October 2004
Is there a way to get Microsoft Word and Notes working together in a "mail merge" to pull the electronic mail addresses from a Notes directory? Even a definitive "no" is a helpful answer.

>
EXPERT RESPONSE
Absolutely. There are several ways to do this. You can write some LotusScript code that writes a text file which Microsoft Word can merge. Or you can treat the Notes/Domino server as an ODBC data source, which MS Word can read to get data.

I have personally coded the first method for an MS Word mail merge. Write me an e-mail if you want me to talk about it in detail.
