QUESTION POSED ON: 06 March 2005
I have read best practices for converting and moving to ND6. But what about Domino cluster? Must we upgrade all members of the cluster? Actually we have a three Domino server cluster and we plan to upgrade to Domino 6.5.1.

What about Domino directory replication?

EXPERT RESPONSE
One of the great features of Domino is the interoperability of the various releases. You do not have to upgrade all of the cluster mates at the same time. You don't even have to upgrade them in the short-term. As long as the servers are all at 4.6.7g or higher, you won't have to worry about directory integration. For the servers that are not on D6, you will not be able to take advantage of D6 directory upgrades, such as policies and server rules, but the directory will function.
