Yes, if someone steals a copy of a standard NSF file, they might be able to read the data in it, if they are reasonably clever. To prevent this, Notes/Domino contains a "database encryption" feature. Also known as "local encryption." There are three different strengths of encryption available, and the feature is very secure.
