QUESTION POSED ON: 24 May 2005
Is there a way to import data from a text file into a user's Lotus Notes calendar as an appointment? So far I've had no luck at all. What am I doing wrong?

EXPERT RESPONSE
It's tough to say what is going wrong since you didn't explain what you are doing. Importing a text file into a calendar entry will put the text file content in the body. What you need to do is actually create some code to parse the information in the text file and add it to the proper field in a new calendar document. To see what information you need to populate in the calendar document, use an existing document of the type you want to create and export that to a text file. This will show you the fields that are populated and their values. This article may help.
