QUESTION POSED ON: 04 August 2005
I am new to Lotus Domino Web administration. I have a Domino application hosted on a Domino server 6.5.3 on a Windows 2003 server. This server is in a DMZ and has a public IP address as well as an internal IP address. I am able to open the application via the internal IP address, but when I try to access the application via the Internet through the public IP address, I get a "page cannot be displayed" error page. The server can be reached when performing a ping /traceroute to the public IP address.

The database has Anonymous access set to Author in the ACL. Is there a setting that needs to be done in the server document that I am perhaps missing?

Have you tried to open this from an IP outside of your intranet? Often internal routing tables take preference. Generally, as long as you have the home database configured, it should render. You can also try testing to see if you can telnet in on the HTTP port (default is 80). And one last thought: Make sure there are no firewall rules in place blocking your attempts.
