QUESTION POSED ON: 20 October 2005
I completed my PCLP in Notes R4 and then took the update exam on R5. I was under the impression that to do the R5 update certification, you had to have an additional certification (which I had with my PCLP). The only drawback was that it was not a Web certification -- it was in LotusScript.

So I am wondering: Where do I go from here? Do I have to start over with R6 (or now R7)? If I could fall into the update category for R6, that would make things a lot easier, and then I could do the update for R7 as well. Please advise on how I should proceed.

Sounds like you may be one of the people who missed passing one of the required Web electives to update your certification to R5. If you are, there is not much you can do at this point and you will have to start with the certification path with ND6/6.5 or ND7.

But just in case you may have passed this, and can't remember, drop a note to certification@lotus.com with your full name and ask us to check for you. Sometimes candidates have more than one ID number (used more than one testing vendor) and a simple consolidation of records will solve the problem. Good luck!
