When you create the agent, select Java in the combobox whose default value is "Simple action(s)." Right-click in the agent code and select "Agent properties." In the "Target" combobox select "All new & modified documents." For the rest, refer to the Domino Designer help page titled "Examples: updateProcessedDoc method."
