QUESTION POSED ON: 13 January 2006
I have an employee database whose only form contains fields with public data at the top, and two restricted sections below. Recently, someone discovered if they export data to a structured text file, they can see all of the data -- including in the restricted sections. How do I resolve this?

Yep, hidden paragraphs on a form are not a real security measure. The data is easily readable in several ways. I am pretty sure this is mentioned in the documentation. Unfortunately, you need to rethink the way you store and protect the data. You might want to create separate response documents for the hidden data. Then use Reader fields on the response docs -- this will truly make the data protected.
