QUESTION POSED ON: 15 March 2006
We are developing a database that holds firewall rules. Once a year, we need to verify that the rules are still valid. I have written a script that goes through the database and sends e-mails out with the necessary information, including a doclink.
I would like to have the doclink pull up a document with a different form that has a button that says, "Keep firewall rule or discard firewall rule."

Is this possible?

EXPERT RESPONSE

An easy way to solve this is to have those buttons in a subform that appears to the users you send the e-mails to. Alternately, you can have buttons in the e-mails that create and send e-mails back to a central location that contain the rule identifier and the disposition of the rule.
