QUESTION POSED ON: 22 May 2006

I want to export data from Microsoft Excel into a Lotus Notes application. What is the limitation on the format of the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet design (layout), and where can I find more information or tips about doing this?

>
EXPERT RESPONSE

I don't know what you mean by the limitation on format of Microsoft Excel layout. You can check out the various Microsoft product and support sites for further information.

If your spreadsheet has rows of data that will be imported into individual Lotus Notes documents, you can import the file from the Lotus Notes menu.

There is a SearchDomino.com tip, Export any view to Excel that shows how to create a Microsoft Excel file from a view and populate the rows of the spreadsheet. This covers a lot of what you may want to do. Of course, you'll need to adapt the code to your purpose.

In addition, there is a SearchDomino.com Featured Topic, LotusScript and Excel that has links to many other examples.
