QUESTION POSED ON: 19 April 2007
I have a Lotus Notes agent that is sending an HTML email with embedded images. The Lotus Domino server is processing the email and converting the embedded images into attachments. Can you tell me if there is any setting in Lotus Domino Server that will stop it from transforming the embedded images to attachments?

I don't know an easy solution to this one. I have seen lots of different related issues, and have had mixed results trying to resolve them.

However, I recommend that you take a look at the article at this IBM Lotus resource: Domino 6 IMAP performance. It describes the process by which incoming IMAP information is handled by the Notes/Domino mail system. Even if you don't find your solution here, you'll get some ideas that should lead in the right direction.
