QUESTION POSED ON: 15 May 2008
Dear Mike: My Lotus Domino server has been suffering periodically from slow performance. During peak performance times, I notice that the process nserver.exe in the task manager sometimes reaches over 95% CPU usage. In most cases, it is over 90%. Is there a third-party tool to help me determine which Domino task is weighing down the CPU?

EXPERT RESPONSE
It is actually the server task. If you look at your task manager, you will see namgr.exe, nreplica.exe, etc. If you have a support contract, I would open a call with IBM on this. The next time that it happens, they may have you put in some debug parameters to try and troubleshoot what is going on.
