QUESTION POSED ON: 21 March 2001
Why have some many corporations not migrated to R5, but are waiting for Rnext. What are the major differences between the two.

>
I'd love to expound on the new features and functionalities, but alas, I cannot. All Business Partners who are reviewing the Preview Release of Rnext had to sign a Non-Disclosure. Some have chosen to violate it, and they have been chastised. I cannot publicly comment on Rnext. I will be able to do so when Rnext goes beta this summer. Believe me, there are some wonderful changes that have me salivating. However, migrating may not be critical anymore due to the extension of 4.6 support through January of 2003. People will not be forced to move to R5 prior to the release of Rnext. Well, that is assuming Rnext makes it out in 2002. R5 was 18 months late, as we all remember.
