QUESTION POSED BY: mahmed@intercom.com.eg on 28 October 2001

I am a programmer CLS. How can I go with RNext in easy way to work with it and be certified?

Lotus have made no formal announcements with regard to RNext certification. Presently the entire Education Curriculum for RNext, including certification streams are under review.

I would suggest that you download the RNext Beta's from the notes.net Web-site at :

http://www.notes.net/nfr6download.nsf/Downloads?openview

In addition, the RNext technical overviews and release notes are available at:

http://www.notes.net/rnext

This documentation is useful for experienced programmers who will upgrade to the new version when it becomes available.

Depending on your experience with the product I would suggest broadening your experience with the current version and perhaps completing the Notes R5 certification stream to become a CLP, Application Developer. This will give you a greater depth of understanding in developing within the Notes environment and assist you with your upgrade path to the next release of Notes when it becomes available. In addition, someone who holds dual R5, RNext certification will be much more valuable in the marketplace when the next version becomes available, especially with the large R5 install base, who may not necessarily upgrade immediately to RNext upon it's release.
