QUESTION POSED ON: 01 April 2002
Hi, We've been using Domino for the past 3 years now. We use it for our Mail, collaboration and we also develop Notes Applications for a financial institution as part of our Banking Software based on Oracle. The Notes Application is used for an approval cycle and to integrate with the Oracle DB. Now, management wants to know why I chose domino. Why not Exchange and Outlook? Sorry about the length of this query. Would you help me sell Domino to management?

Why did you choose Domino vs. MS Exchange/Outlook three years ago? All the same reasons are valid and then some. If you need ammo to answer this question, you should definitely contact your Lotus SAM or Sales Rep, as they have plenty of material to show ROI, cost analysis (licensing, support, app dev, etc.) and a laundry list of Fortune 100/500/1000 clients, including financial institutions, that are running on Domino. If you want my personal assistance, send me a note via editor@searchDomino.com.
