QUESTION POSED ON: 31 January 2003
We are currently using a navigator to allow all of our users to get to the main databases they need within Lotus 5. I would really like to be able to put unread marks on each of the links on this navigator. Is this possible on a navigator, and if so could you point me in the right direction? If not, is this possible some other way?

Create an outline design element, then place that as an embedded element on a Page design element. Drop that page into your frameset. Now, any changes you make to the underlying Outline will show in the Page.

Outline elements may be computed, including their labels. You can compute the label to have the values you are looking for.

Even easier: Upgrade to Notes R6, and the outline design element has a switch (checkbox) called "Include Unread Information" in the InfoBox of the Outline Entry!
