QUESTION POSED ON: 23 May 2003
A number of users have private views to a database. Database ACL is NOT set to allow them private views. The views, therefore, are stored in desktop.dsk. A new replica of the database was created on a different server.

The private views related to the original database, not to the new replica. Is there a technique that you know of to copy the private views (that work on the original DB) to the new replica?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. Private views stored like this cannot be altered at all and will need to be recreated.
