QUESTION POSED ON: 28 May 2003
I have a doclink created inside a Rich Text field on a document (Doc1) along with some text next to the docLink. This docLink points to a document (Doc2) located on an another database.

Now Doc2 is moved from its original location, but I still want to retain the doclink in Doc1 to open this moved Doc2.

How do I find the reference ID or unique ID of the document (docLink) stored in the Rich Text field of Doc1?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it can be done, though not with LotusScript. Using the APIs of Notes, it is possible to change docLink properties. I suggest to look in Notes.net's Sandbox; there are some downloadable examples there on how to do this.
