QUESTION POSED ON: 09 March 2004
I have configured Replication Activity (LEI 3.2) to transfer data from a Notes database to SQL Server 2000 (one way only) using an ODBC connection (System DSN configured on an LEI server). It works great when run the first time with an empty SQL DB. When the activity is run again to update, it gives me the error:
Error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Connection is busy with results for another hstmt, Connector 'OBTREEE SQL connection', Method -Insert- (84)
I've researched the error on Microsoft and am assured that the SQL Server is running the correct MDAC version, etc.

Do you know if LEI 3.2 using ODBC connection definitely works with SQL 2000? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Lotus says that they support ODBC to MS SQL Server 6.5, but there is no mention of SQL Server 7/2000 for the LEI3.x and R5 platform. I just searched IBM's support and download site and found a link that said the Lotus Connector for OLE DB, which was supposed to be the solution for SQL Server 2000 and Access 2000, is not thread-safe, and they have pulled it from the download site. And another link on your particular error message found this: "The SQL Server ODBC driver allows only one active hstmt. For more information, see 'Using Default Result Sets' in Microsoft SQL Server Building Applications." If that does not offer any configuration tips then I have to suggest you contact Lotus Support.
