If anything goes wrong during the installation, I suggest that you delete:
The "IBM" folder
The "Notes" folder
The "Workspace Managed Client" folder
The "vpd.properties" file
The "bin/NotesLauncher" file
All of the above can be found in the user's home directory. From there, you can perform the entire installation again.
In my opinion, the Notes/Linux installation process is much more difficult and complicated than it needs to be. The choice of using Java, InstallShield, and Gtk for the installation scripts is a bad idea. IBM should have written the installer in the same way as every other piece of Linux software -- as an RPM or a Deb package.
