Step 3: Installing Lotus Domino Server

Log in as root, and then execute the following commands:

  1. vi /etc/fstab (If you need to, read this information about using the vi editor.)

  2. Add the line "/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto auto,user 0 0" to the fstab file.

  3. Exit from the vi editor, saving the file.

  4. mkdir /media/cdrom

  5. mkdir /dominoinstall

  6. reboot

  7. Log in as root.

  8. cd /dominoinstall

  9. cp -v -r /media/cdrom .

  10. cd /dominoinstall/cdrom/linux

  11.    ./install

  12. Tab through the questions accepting the defaults, unless you have a good reason to change them.

Installation of the Lotus Domino Server software is now finished.
