It's taxonomy time!

Jack Vaughan

This week we'd like to provide a tip on how administrators can use SearchDomino.com. Obviously, "Search" is near and dear to us, since it's our first name. And we welcome you to use our search engine to navigate our site. But we recently implemented a topical taxonomy that allows you to walk through site paths to find answers to your questions.

Topics on SearchDomino can be accessed from the site home page. Or you can go to Topics.

If you'd rather cut to the chase, the Administration Topics page may be worth bookmarking. It is always changing, but the valuable information there on admin issues like installation, configuration, messaging and performance is a constant. The topical page provides newest info first, so the latest information on e-mail and other administration issues will always pop to the top.

The taxonomy provides a mix of content types. For example, valuable administrator news articles would include DoS vulnerabilities reported in Domino versions, standalone e-mail appliances and spam-reduction strategies. You'll find advice from SearchDomino experts such as Michael Lazar (discussing time-out issues) and Chuck Connell (talking about mail journaling tricks). You can check out links to on-demand Webcasts on subjects such as managing certificate authorities and secure apps for Notes and Web clients via the Administrator topic page.

Is it better than searching? You're the best judge of that. We hope, over time, that our search capabilities and taxonomical capabilities will work in harmony to help you better navigate SearchDomino.com.
