IT FACTORY, a knowledge technology and Lotus independent software seller in Boston, Mass., is buying NotesHouse, a Lotus Notes/Domino professional services company in Copenhagen, Denmark. NotesHouse specializes in intranet, Internet and extranet products and Lotus Domino infrastructure management. The acquisition is the latest in a series of buys by ITFACTORY in the collaborative electronic business market, including the Microsoft market.

Informio, a voice-enabled software provider, Lexington, Mass., has developed voice-enabled e-mail software designed to connect people to their e-mail using any type of phone. Using Informio SpeedMail, people can place a call to hear messages in their Lotus Notes in box and use their voice to replay, forward messages and navigate. It is now available for Lotus Domino and will be available on Microsoft Exchange this summer.

The company said the new product names clarify and unify the offerings a single product line. Iemagine's iemprove is built for the Lotus Hosting Management System for use on IBM's eServer iSeries platform.

Convera, a company in Vienna, Va., that makes products to manage multimedia digital content, is selling its Convera RetrievalWare 6.9, a new version of its search and retrieval software for indexing and searching a wide range of distributed text-based content. The RetrievalWare 6.9 search system is designed to let users perform secure cross repository information searches across all of a business's groupware and document management systems. It is available for Lotus Domino.
