Wednesday morning Lotus will provide telephone numbers and a hyperlink to an online registration page. Lotus suggests those using the online registration page disable Transport Layer Security (TSL 1.0) in both Internet Explorer 5.0 and Netscape 6 prior to registration.
The registration fee is $1,650, and includes attendance at General, Breakout and Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions as well as at the Product Showcase and the Lotusphere 2002 Labs. Other events are also included. Lodging is not provided, but discounted rates are available at several area hotels.
Registration cancellations and substitutions are permitted before December 3, but $250 and $125 processing fees will be charged, respectively.
It is unknown how reluctance to travel in the U.S. following the September 11 terrorist attacks and allied retaliation will affect registration volume, but in recent years the IBM software unit's annual user conference has been a hot ticket. The last two Lotusphere Orlando conferences sold out their approximately 10,000 spots in a matter of hours.
